FAQ - eSIM+ Troubleshooting guide

  • Scanning the QR code on the iPhone automatically starts the installation process. Click continue. (If scanning is difficult or impossible, use the manual entry code.)
  • Once the eSIM is verified, click done.
  • Give the newly added eSIM a name and click continue. For example: 'Travel', 'Secondary', 'Cellular Data'.
  • In the Default Line options, select 'Primary' to continue receiving messages and calls on your existing number. Then click Continue.
  • To continue using iMessage and FaceTime with your existing number, select 'Primary'. Then click continue.
  • In the Cellular Data options, select eSIM. To avoid additional roaming charges, turn off 'Allow Cellular Data Switching'. Then click continue. (If you are not traveling, leave it as the default.)

There may be several reasons why you are having trouble scanning the QR code. Please refer to the checklist below to easily solve the issue.

1. Is your phone compatible with eSIM?

First, check if your phone model is compatible with eSIM. If the phone is compatible but cannot be registered, make sure it is unlocked.

2. Are you connected to Wi-Fi?

You cannot install an eSIM without a Wi-Fi connection. For a stable installation, it is recommended to install the eSIM at home connected to Wi-Fi before your trip. For multi-country products, please check if the country you are in is included before installation.

3. If you have difficulty installing via QR code, try installing manually.

If the installation does not work with the QR code, you can install it manually. Supera Link sends a manual code along with the QR code via email. Tap 'Enter details manually' at the bottom of the QR code scan screen and enter the manual code to install.

4. If installation is not possible, an eSIM may already be installed.

The eSIM QR code can only be scanned once. If you attempt to scan multiple times, you may receive a message saying 'Cannot add data plan'. It is possible that the eSIM has already been successfully installed. Please check if there is an eSIM on your phone in the SIM card manager/cellular settings. If the eSIM is not installed, please contact customer service.

5. If the eSIM QR code still doesn't work

If you still can't scan the QR code after trying all the methods above, please contact customer service via chat. The Supera Link CX team is available 24/7 to assist you.

You can check the connection status of your Supera Link eSIM by navigating to the Settings menu on your device. Look for the 'Cellular' or 'Mobile Data' section to view information about your eSIM connection.

With our unlimited data plans, you can enjoy daily usage based on your daily quota you selected. We also provide various options in custom plans (if any). Additionally, if you opt for a multi-day plan, you can utilize it throughout its validity period according to the daily limits outlined in your unlimited plan. Should you surpass your daily limits, you will still have access to data, but a fair usage policy will be enforced.

BENOSIM eSIMs are compatible with a wide range of newer smartphones and tablets, including models from Apple, Samsung, Huawei and Oppo. To ensure compatibility, check with your device manufacturer.

Notice on Incompatible (exception) models: devices manufactured in China/Hong Kong do not have eSIM functionality.

How to check:

  • Go to Settings
  • Check for the Add eSIM button on the Cellular screen
  • Note: iPads can only use this feature if they are models with cellular capabilities.

For unlimited data plan, it will be happened if you consume the data more than the daily quota of your unlimited package. Then Fair Usage Policy (FUP) will activate in that case. Don’t worry, it will be normal again right after reset time arrive on the next day
